Admission Guidelines

  1. Please fill the Admission form with photograph and submit on the first day of class. 
  2. Inform your instructor of any previous or new injuries. Consider consulting a medical professional, if your injury is serious. Teachers can guide you to take class with the right precaution, if and only if they know about your injury. Parents of students and all students, kindly know that you are taking class at your own risk.
  3. Please inform us about any allergies or chronic health conditions, so we can modify your training program accordingly.
  4. Priming Dance has a zero-tolerance Bullying Policy. Violation of this policy will result in withdrawal from classes.
  5. Please share two photographs at the time of admission

Tuition Payments and Additional Fees

  1. A Registration Fee of INR 500 is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. The Registration Fee guarantees placement for the class chosen.
  2. Tuition payments will be due by the first class of every month. To avoid late fees, students must make the payment before the second class. The students whose fees has not been received by then, will be marked absent and not be allowed to enter class. They will be allowed to do class after they have paid the monthly fees + late fee of INR 500. 
  3. For new students, joining after the 21st of the month, fees will be 50% of the monthly fees. Before 21st of the month, the student joining has to pay the full monthly fee. Any student joining mid-month will not be given classes to make-up for the classes they have missed.
  4. Only online payment of fees will be accepted.

5. Priming Dance has the right to close due to inclement weather.

6. Priming Dance has the right to move to virtual classes via zoom at any time due to COVID19.

Attendance

  1. 85% attendance is a must if children want to improve their chances of promotions
  2. Our Holiday Calendar is live on the site and announced at the beginning of every year. If you have any suggestions, please mail us on [email protected] or speak to your teacher. We recommend you use the calendar while planning your holidays. If your class falls on a holiday mentioned in our Holiday Calendar, a national holiday, or on a strike/bandh, Priming Dance has the right to not give class.
  3. Please contact or inform your child’s Instructor or the office when a class will be missed. If the child misses a class, they will not get a make-up class for it.
  4. If the teacher is absent due to illness or an emergency or lockdown, make-up class will be scheduled on a weekend. If a student is unable to attend that make-up class, there will be no other class scheduled for the same.
  5. Students should arrive to class early for warm-up and prepare for class mentally. Online class students should be ready for class 5 mins before the scheduled time and start warming up.

Rules for In-Studio class

  1. Please come to class in proper dance attire.
    Ballet class
    • Leotard, ballet tights and ballet shoes or cotton socks
    • Hair must be pulled back in either a pony tail or bun for girls. Hair must be neatly groomed for boys
    • For socials, you can wear the decided dress code

    Fitness class

    • Dance attire that is fitted and that you are comfortable moving in
    • Comfortable lowers, t-shirt or top, sports shoes that you wear only in the studio

    Bollywood Jazz class

    • Dance attire that is fitted and that you are comfortable moving in
    • Tops such as tank tops, dance tops, fitted tee, etc.
    • Bottoms can be athletic shorts, leggings
    • Jazz shoes or bare feet. No socks.
  2. All students need to carry their dance bags with their own masks, water bottle, sanitiser and dance shoes.
  3. All Students need to keep minimum one pair of shoes separate for the studio only. Kindly don’t wear the same shoes you wear outside, in the studio. We do this to respect our dance space, avoid possible infection, and ensure more cleanliness for everyone.
  4. Please label your belongings like shoes, uniform and dance bags etc. Priming Dance will not be responsible for lost or stolen valuables.
  5. Avoid wearing expensive jewellery to class. Priming Dance is not responsible for lost or stolen valuables
  6. Only water is allowed in the dance area; water breaks will be given by the instructor. Any energy bars or food needs to be consumed outside the studio.
 

Rules for Online Dance class

1. Please do class in a large enough space at home, so that you feel free while dancing. A 6 feet by 6 feet space is recommended for most classes. For Ballet and Jazz, across the floor movement, your teacher will guide you about required space

2. Please set up your Laptop camera or TV screen before the class begins. Check your internet speed. We recommend you connect your laptop to a speaker for enough volume.

3. If it is time for class, but the teacher is not online yet, please check your internet and notify on the Class WhatsApp group. It could be the wrong class link or slow internet for your teacher. 

4. We have a Q&A and feedback session at the end of class. Please don’t interrupt class with your questions, but keep them ready for the feedback session towards the end of class.

 COVID Safety Guidelines

  1. If the student has a cough or cold, please don’t send them for class and inform the teacher in advance. These days will be counted as sick leave for attendance calculation.
  2. All students and their parents are to keep their masks on at all times in the studio
  3. Students must carry their own water bottle and sanitisers
  4. Students must cooperate while we do the fever and oxygen check at the entrance
  5. Parents must inform the teacher if their children are leaving with an adult other than a parent/caretaker on a particular day
  6. Siblings of dance students must be with parents at all times, while visiting the studio
  7. Make sure your child is not left unattended in the waiting room for any reason. 

    Priming Dance

    We offer dance classes for kids and adults in Ballet, Bharatanatyam and Bollywood Jazz. We customize corporate wellness workshops and offer a Pan India wedding choreography service. Our classes run in the online, offline and hybrid mode in group batches and personal training sessions.
